Update: Intel has launched the Core i9-13900KS, in the article you can find full specs for the world’s first 6.0 GHz out of the box processor, as well as links to where you can buy it online.
Intel is reportedly preparing to unleash the remaining of its 13th Gen Raptor Lake desktop CPU family at the start of next year at CES 2023, with the tech giant launching as many as 16 new desktop CPUs, arriving globally on January 3rd, 2023.
Some rumors suggested that the flagship core i9-13900KS might launch on the same day as well, and now we’re starting to see new online listings starting to appear detailing specs & price for the Raptor Lake flagship CPU, as well as the remaining locked / non-K CPU series.
Core i9-13900KS Has a Price Tag of $725 (USD)
New product listing just popped up on PC Canada, with preliminary pricing and specs for the Core i9-13900KS, which is listed for $971.99 CAD or around $725 USD, that is 22% more expensive than the Core i9-13900K listed on the same store. What makes the Core i9-13900KS special, is that it will be the first ever consumer desktop CPU to boost to 6GHz out of the box.
In addition to the flagship Core i9-13900KS, PC Canada also listed the yet unannounced Core i9, Core i7, and Core i5 non-K / locked series of processors, that operate at 65W. As noted by VideoCardz the price doesn’t really make much sense here, as these processors cost more than their unlocked counterparts, however, as we noted earlier these are just preliminary prices and as such, will be subject to change.

In addition to the listed processors expected to launch globally on January 3rd, 2023, Intel is also launching the mid-range B760 motherboard series, however, it is worth noting that all Intel 13th & 12th Gen Core processors are also compatible with existing 600 series motherboards, regardless, with all the launches and reveals expected to come, January 3rd is shaping up to be a very busy day, and we can’t wait.
